This section and its contents are relevant to stranger wolves, dispersal wolves. This extends to and includes the player's wolf avatar.

Sleeping (Z key) will enable the player to select the time of day. Resting (pressing R) has two 'phases', both being able to restore lost stamina: one keystroke enables the player to assume the sitting pose, while two keystrokes enables the laying down (and sleeping) pose. 


Multiplayer (Classic)

Social Arena (Classic)

The social arena is the only instance that uses high-poly models. As such, most of these animations are unusable to the player while roaming elsewhere in the Yellowstone wilderness.

Sleeping (Z key) will enable the player to select the time of day. Resting (pressing R) has two 'phases', both being able to restore lost stamina. One keystroke enables the sitting posture, while two keystrokes enables the lay down posture. 

While sleeping does not work in multiplayer prior to 2.5.1, laying down shares the same animation as sleeping. Jumping drains stamina.


Single-player (Legacy)

Animations that are accessible only in the main campaign.

Trivia[]

  • In Classic and Legacy, the cattle calf reuses elk animations; most visibly grazing. This is likely due to its early placeholder being a scaled-down cow elk.
